About Us

Meet Your New Marketing Department

Corner Group is a boutique digital marketing and creative agency that works with conscious consumer packaged goods brands, restaurants, hotels brands and wellness companies. We've worked in marketing for some of the best in the business -- including Thomas Keller’s gluten free flour brand, Cup4Cup, Callisto Rum, Auberge du Soleil, The Beverly Hills Hotel, Hotel Bel Air, and Dropbox.

The Story

We've been friends since the sixth grade. After different career paths early on, we both found our way to in-house marketing roles in the hospitality industry. While comparing notes, we realized that most emerging businesses could benefit greatly from marketing support, but didn't need a full-time, year-round marketing hire. And while looking at marketing agencies available, we found that many lacked the flexibility or understanding to truly meet the needs of the hospitality world. So, we decided to offer that service ourselves - and have been amazed at the results. We've since expanded our focus to include consumer products, event venues, nonprofits, and more. We'd love to meet you and help tell your story next!

Milan Clarke

Milan has worked for some of the biggest names in the hospitality industry, and is an events and sales powerhouse. She began in Napa Valley, managing event sales at Auberge du Soleil and later marketing for Cliff Lede Vineyards. A move to Los Angeles led her to event management at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and then the opening team for acclaimed steakhouse Baltaire. After returning to the Bay Area, she led private events for a number of up-and-coming chefs at Feastly. Finally, she joined 25 Lusk as Marketing Director, where her role spanned digital marketing and special events programs. When she's not hustling to grow her clients' business, she also leads sustainability efforts for Dreamforce, Salesforce's largest annual gathering.

Samantha Johnston

Sam comes from a core marketing background that spanned a variety of industries. After four years in the nonprofit sector, she spent three years in marketing at tech firm Dropbox. Her role involved crafting messaging, understanding customers, creating content, developing competitive strategy, and training a global sales team. After doing a number of pop-up restaurants on the side, she realized that her true passion is food, and vowed to leverage her skillset in the field. She joined the Executive Team at Jackrabbit, launching the company's first food truck while growing its catering business and preparing to open its first stores. She's passionate about using her core competencies in a way that makes sense for restaurants' unique realities.
